Reverse Traffic Flow for BLDC Trench Works
Friday December 3rd, 2021 through Friday December 20th, 2021
The Town of St. George's wishes to inform motorists that BLDC's ongoing trench will continue up Duke
of Clarence street north of Church Lane towards Governor's Alley. In order for the trench works to commence, a
temporary reverse traffic flow will need to be enforced along Duke of Clarence Street and Governor's Alley.
All residence traveling down Chapel Lane are advised that traffic flow on the Duke of Clarence Street will head
north and then east on Governor's Alley to avoid the trench work.
All residence and business's visitors are advised not to park on either side of Duke of Clarence Street &
Governor's Alley as trench work passes through the above named roadways.
The lane closure will commence Friday December 3rd, 2021. Working hours will be from 7:00 am to 6:00 pm,
weekly from Monday through Saturday. Trench work should reach 200 feet open section lengths at a time.
Motorist are advised to use Queen Street or Government Hill Road as a detour to avoid the trench
section.
Traffic controls will be under the direction of Smith Hauling representatives and will be managed
through traffic controls & signage.
The Town of St. George's wishes to encourage the full cooperation of the public and apologizes for any
