Free WiFi for Town residents and guests
Why WiFi service?
Corporation of St. George (CSG) provides a grant to Visitor Information Center (VIC). As a condition of the offering, we ask that all may benefit from the service. While the Town is historic, your Mayor and Councilors recognize we must take a progressive view of delivering modern services that do not negatively impact on the overall character of the Town — WiFi does this.
What can you do?
On your WiFi-enabled device, you can access the Government portal, read the news, watch a video clip, complete homework, update your apps. And our Tourists can use online mapping to plan their route through the Town, look up local merchants to book services or upload vacation photos of the Town to social media. As a limited public service, we strenuously discourage the downloading of high bandwidth content like movies as this creates an unfair strain on the service. WiFi is a shared service and will decrease as more devices connect.
